I always like musical movies, but what I didn’t realize there was one category I didn’t notice before, it was Dance Movies. “StreetDance” is one perfect example of today’s Dance Movies. The story seems to be another repetition from other similar genres. It is all about rebellion against establishment of formal institutions and it is also about how are we, new next generation’s going to express our self. It’s all the elements that we saw since “Footloose” (1984) until the modern breath-taking movie in “Step Up 2: The Streets” (2008), in which I think is still the best presentation of our time.
