Firstly, I was excited to see this film but was put off by the critics reviews. However, I took a chance and saw it. This isn’t a fluffy romantic comedy. The premise is about Marley (Kate Hudson) doesn’t want to fall in love, finds out she is dying of cancer and slowly falls in love with her doctor. Character development is very good and there are some moving scenes in the movie (particluary one scene with Marley talking to her pregnant friend through her front door.) This is an enjoyable film which starts off as a light comedy and the themes of the movie slowly become more daunting and upsetting. BRING TISSUES. It is a weepie. No masterpiece but certainly go and see it to decide for yourself.
