- THE BUZZ: Matthew McConaughey, suddenly one of every critic’s favorite actors, has earned serious raves for his work in the latest film from William Friedkin, a reportedly bleak and hyperviolent thriller that has earned an NC-17 rating (apparently the end sequence is extreme).
